The Great Railway Easter Hunt turns the beautiful setting of the Isle of Wight Steam Railway into a giant treasure trail.

Little ones become ‘Chocolate Detectives’ as they follow clues and search for giant hidden eggs across the attraction, working together to crack the mystery on their treasure map and claim a chocolate prize at the end. It’s a brilliant way to spend part of your Easter holidays and make some fun family memories together.

From the moment you arrive at Havenstreet Station, there’s a sense of excitement in the air. Once you’ve completed your hunt, why not take a nostalgic steam train ride through the Island’s countryside?

Watch the ancient woodlands and rolling green fields speed past as you relax on board – it’s the perfect way to top off your Easter day out.

What to expect

• Daily Easter hints throughout the school holidays from 29 March to 12 April – plenty of chances to join in the fun/
• Giant hidden eggs and family-friendly clues to solve around the railway site/
• Easter bonnet parade and judging during the Easter weekend – bring your hand-decorated hats and join the fun/
• Steam train rides through the Island’s picturesque countryside/
• On-site facilities including food, drink and a gift shop to round off your visit.
