Discounted Fares Scheme
The Discounted Fare Scheme enables Isle of Wight residents that meet the eligibility of ‘low income’ households to access travel to the mainland for work, health or leisure purposes.
It provides a discounted, fixed price and will apply to return journeys for cars, motorbikes or as foot passengers. The travel must originate from an Island port.
Eligible applicants for the scheme include Isle of Wight residents claiming the following benefits:
- Council tax support
- Housing Benefit
- Universal Credit

Important information
You must be an Isle of Wight resident to apply
Valid for car, motorcycle and foot passenger travel
Only return journeys are valid - you cannot book a single leg
Journeys must originate from an Island port
