Festive fun

From dazzling pantomimes to twinkling light trails, the mainland is bursting with festive magic this winter.

Catch a show at the Kings Theatre or Portsmouth Guildhall, where big-name stars bring classic tales to life on stage. Or, wrap up warm and wander through the grounds at Marwell Zoo after dark, taking in their spectacular light-trail experience full of illuminated sculptures, glowing animals and a festive market plaza.

Head into Portsmouth for a spot of Christmas shopping at Gunwharf Quays or Southsea’s independent boutiques, then reward yourself with a hot chocolate overlooking the harbour. Over in Lymington, you’ll find a charming high street filled with festive markets and cosy pubs, ideal for a relaxed winter escape.
